ABOUT SARAH

Originally from Butler, Pennsylvania, Sarah moved to London with her husband in 2011 and worked as a writer for theatre and talent director at various east london start ups. In 2020, she retrained as a dog trainer and started her business, Meatball Motel to serve the needs of small dogs in the city.

Sarah Kosar is a multi-faceted creative whose work blends her passion for art and animals, offering a unique approach to dog training that emphasizes connection, compassion, and understanding. As both an artist and a dog trainer, Sarah believes that the key to fostering meaningful relationships—whether through art or with our canine companions—lies in authentic connection, not control.

With a background in fine arts, Sarah’s creative journey has shaped her approach to dog training. She views each dog as an individual, worthy of respect and understanding, much like a blank canvas waiting to be explored and expressed. Rather than focusing on dominance or strict obedience, Sarah teaches dog owners how to build a relationship based on trust, patience, and mutual respect. She believes that by nurturing a deeper bond, both dogs and humans thrive in a harmonious, positive environment.

Sarah’s method encourages owners to develop awareness of their own needs and behaviors, as well as those of their dogs. Through this holistic approach, she empowers clients to not only enhance their dog’s behavior but also to create a partnership based on empathy, compassion, and shared experiences. For Sarah, it’s not about controlling a dog—it’s about connecting, understanding, and growing together.

Whether she’s working with clients or creating art, Sarah’s focus remains the same: to inspire others to foster authentic relationships, whether in the world of dogs or in life itself.
